10 km in 59:28 on treadmill. Even with the fan on full blast I found it really hot.

6.1 km in 28:06 on road. Out in 14:37, back in 13:29. Left at 6:40 pm after the sun had set and it made a huge difference. I'll definitely go for more of these runs. I MUST go for a 30 km this Sunday!

 1:33:20 (15.8 km) out then ran back till 2:22 (24 km) then walked 8 km. 

First long run in a long time and felt crap. There was a huge tail wind going out and what felt like a bigger head wind coming back. I took it slow right from the beginning as I've been bed ridden for the past few days feeling very lethargic. I had to get out there today though as this is one of 3 30km + runs I've got to do before Tokyo. This week I'll fit in a speed session and on Sunday 10 mile hill run. 8 mile runs the days in between.

 49 days till the marathon!

6.75 km in 38:49. Real slow jog to stretch out my legs after yesterday. Jogged all the way with dad and talked all the way. Very very impressed by my old man who's again going to run the marathon with me at 58!

5 km out in 24:48 on road then 5 minutes rest. Then 5 km back in 24:39. I don't mid the 25 degrees but the 90% humidity is a killer. I find it hard to keep going at a solid pace without overheating. Gay.

10 km in 51:22 on road. 30 + degrees and pretty humid. Ran first 2 km in under mp then the next 1 km in mp. For the next 7 I ran at about 12 kph making sure I sprinted up the hills. I'm a little worried that my marathon target time is too quick!!!

6.8 km in 33:09 on road. 17:35 out 15:34 back. So hot today! 28 degrees and 80 % humidity. Might go to the beach for a bit. I'll do some speed work this evening.

3.4 km in 13:11 on road @ 15.5 km. Walked for a mile after as my shin was killing me. Saw dangerous storm clouds and lightning looming over the horizon so I jogged home. Made it just in time. Took about 37 minutes all up. Now laying with an ice pack on my shin, thinking I might have a slight stress fracture. We'll see.

4 km in 18:45 on road. 10:35 out and 8:10 back. My left leg is not cool, not cool at all. I'm taking the next two days off to try to let it heal before I go for a decent long run on Sunday. It's going to be hard but it's definitely for the best.

32 km in 3 hours and out and back in the same time. I felt pretty good at half way then I turned around and I realised why....there was biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig tail wind. Which meant a big head wind on the way home. I stopped a fair few times for water breaks as it was very hot and no cloud cover. Very happy to cover the mileage however and to get my second of three 3 hour run/jog's done. Also stoked to know for certain that I don't have a stress fracture in my shin as the pain almost went away completely during my run. Shin splints are manageable :)

5 km in 22:31 on treadmill. Marathon pace although I am 100% sure that my treadmill is running too fast. Possibly by 1 km per hour. I don't think I could put together 8 of those runs non stop marathon day. At any rate it's good training. Next week I am to be able to run 10 km (treadmill) marathon pace. I'll aim to do another 5 km tonight in the same time.

5 km in 25:36 on treadmill. My shin was giving me real grief after 1 mile at marathon pace so I slowed down to an easy pace. Icing it up now!

10 km in 53:12 on treadmill. First 3 km @ 12kph then 2 km @ 10 kph, 1 km @12kph, 1 km @ 10kph, 1 km @ 12kph, 500m @10kph, 500m @ 12 kph then 1 km @ 13.3kph (mp).

 I did my best to calibrate my treadmill this morning and concluded that at 1 km per hour it is actually 1.7 km per hour. Interesting to know after having done 3 months of training on it!

First 6.44 km (4 mile) in 28:26 @ 13.6 kph. 13.3 kph is marathon pace. The reasonable tail wind helped the pace no doubt but I felt good. Mostly jogged back but made sure to sprint across the bridge, up the two big hills and the last stretch home. The headwind provided good resistance. Back slowly in 40:20. Happy with the run. Tomorrow a half marathon run at a solid pace.

6.56 km in 32:37 on road. 17:21 out and 15:16 back. Felt incredibly sluggish from yesterday, i was aiming to do a 13 miler but the heat was a killer. 29 degrees and full sun. Shin was hurting too. I may have to run every other day to give it a day to recover. We'll see.

5 km in 22:23 on treadmill. I felt really dirty with myself for not going for a semi long run today so I jumped on the treadmill and did 5 a bit better than marathon pace. It was good because my legs felt a little tired from this morning and yesterday but the run didn't trouble me at all. Not too worried about missing the long run as it was a step down week.

This Sunday is the peak of my training schedule so this week is going to be a biggy for me. Can't wait :)

6.56 km in 30:46 on road. 16:26 out and 14:20 back. I was going to have the day off but my feet were itchy so when it got dark I went out for a comfortable run. Ran the last 2 miles under marathon pace making sure i dodged the pot holes in the dark! 

Today was the start of my biggest training week and a good one. Only 27 days till Tokyo baby!
